HALO Diagnostics in San Carlos, CA seeks a Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) for hereditary cancer testing. In-person, Mon-Fri 8:00–5:00, bilingual in English/Spanish. The role includes education, coordination, phlebotomy support, and strong patient experience within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities cover scheduling, specimen collection, insurance verification, and documentation in EMR/EHR systems, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• 2+ years clinical experience (front or back office).
• 2+ years insurance verification and prior authorizations experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing from start to finish.
• Provide patient education on testing procedures and next steps.
• Serve as primary patient contact to ensure a supportive experience.
• Conduct structured patient consultations for clarity and accuracy.
• Build relationships with partner site staff and clinical teams.
• Own patient cases, scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.
