Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Generator Field Technician to service commercial LV/MV generators, switchgear, and battery storage equipment. The role emphasizes field experience, electrical troubleshooting, and customer-facing skills, with travel to customer sites and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualified candidates will have 3–10+ years in generator systems, proficiency with Woodward/PLC controls, and the ability to interpret schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related military experience or equivalent field experience.
• Level II–IV technicians must have multi-year field experience in generator systems and associated equipment.
• Experience with 500 kW+ gensets, switchgear, ATS, and Loadbanking is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and on-call service at customer sites.
• Travel daily and provide 24x7 on-call support as required.
• Maintain and safeguard company equipment and tools.
• Coordinate on-site subcontractors and manage on-site safety.
