Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites with minimal direction.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical repair skills and the ability to work independently. You will diagnose, service and repair generators and components, maintain service records, adhere to safety policies, and pursue ongoing certifications.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Current relevant electrical certification.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• This position may require licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

• Completing repair activities on generators or components.
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of service.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.

Education
