Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and basic repair on generators at customer sites with minimal direction.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain generators, engage with customers professionally, maintain service records, and pursue ongoing certifications while following Cummins HSE policies; relocation and sign-on bonuses may be available.

Qualifications

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.

Responsibilities

• Completing repair activities on generators or components.
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of service.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
