Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Generator Design Liaison Engineer to bridge generator design and manufacturing on the Schenectady, NY production floor. You will help translate design intent into manufacturable, high-quality production outcomes for 50 Hz/60 Hz generators across rotor, armature core, winding, laminations, and bars.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams, supporting issues, producibility improvements, and Lean initiatives, with regular shifts on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline.
• Strong engineering principles relevant to manufacturing and design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical interface between generator design engineering and manufacturing on the factory floor.
• Improve manufacturability while maintaining performance, quality, safety and cost targets.
• Participate in early design reviews focusing on manufacturability and process capability.
• Support resolution of design-to-manufacturing technical issues across rotor, armature core, winding, laminations, and bars.
• Translate engineering requirements into clear direction for manufacturing teams.
