Xcel Energy is seeking a Development Portfolio Manager to lead the creation and advancement of new generation project portfolios for large load customers. The role emphasizes strategic portfolio development, rigorous technical evaluation, and coordination with regulatory teams to ensure projects meet performance and compliance objectives.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, finance, or a related business field.
• 10+ years of power or heavy industrial construction and diversified project management experience.
• Experience developing or managing large or multiple construction projects at least $50M in aggregate value.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of technical tasks during feasibility and development phases of generation projects within CPD and Major Projects Group, coordinating with Corporate Development, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and others to define technical parameters.
• Provide leadership and coordination of multi-disciplinary, matrixed project teams to perform due diligence and engineering development tasks, developing project scope, estimates, schedules, and execution strategy.
• Provide assurance for the application of technical specifications, best practices, and continuous improvement of the generation program across the development portfolio; engage stakeholders to stay abreast of technology advances.
• Provide technical analysis and data for required filings and testimony; represent Xcel Energy in stakeholder meetings and monitor project status with teams and external parties.
• Ensure proper transition to Major Projects Group’s Project Management team as projects move to execution; support with clarifications and carryover issues.
