Role & Responsibilities

The Generalist – HR Talent Engagement will report to the Regional Head of Human Resources. This position will be located onsite in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate is expected to become a true business partner by supporting employee relations, promoting engagement, providing coaching and development to leadership teams, and supporting various global HR initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to support business priorities and organizational initiatives.
• Implement and promote key talent management initiatives, including performance management, competency development, rewards and recognition, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring.
• Facilitate HR engagement initiatives based on actionable insights aimed at promoting organizational belonging and a sense of pride.
• Support organizational development and ensure the fair administration of company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Promote and drive employee engagement within project teams to sustain employee morale.
• Facilitate and drive Corporate Social Responsibility events for project teams and local communities.
• Participate in business meetings, client audits and meetings, and project start-up meetings.
• Develop and implement initiatives to increase employee retention.
• Comply with all internal and external HR processes and compliance requirements.
• Address and resolve employee concerns and grievances.
• Manage all statutory employment requirements, as advised by legal counsel and compliance officers, and liaise with local government authorities as applicable.
• Develop mechanisms to promote participation in the Annual Employee Survey, analyze results, and develop action plans to sustain and improve engagement.
• Participate in Talent Acquisition initiatives, including campus recruitment.
• Support Training and Development, onboarding, and other HR functions’ priorities within the region.

Qualifications

Years of Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field with 3 or more years of experience, or
• Master’s degree in HR or a related field with 2–3 years of HR Generalist experience.

Skills & Capabilities

• PHR/SPHR certification is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate presentations for groups.
• A successful track record of managing dynamic employee relations cases, with an in-depth understanding of employment laws.
• Experience in leadership roles within extracurricular organizations during school or school breaks.
• Expertise in data analysis, action planning, and execution.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in working in a globally diverse environment.
