Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit. The role supports patient care through the nursing process for assigned patients and coordinates with other departments to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Missouri (or compact) RN licensure, BLS certification, and a minimum of two years of patient care experience. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
