Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W. This full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) covers weekends for a 36-hour week. Requires an accredited nursing program graduate, active RN license in the hiring state, and BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments; maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
