Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in General Surgery. Location: St. Louis, MO. Schedule: Full time, 36 hours per week, with nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The role requires delivering patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with multiple departments. Education: accredited nursing program graduate. Licensure: active RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure. Certification: BLS through AHA or eligible within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or eligible within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Preferred: BSN and supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
