Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery unit 3W. This full-time position offers a 36-hour work week with a night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, in a facility committed to compassionate patient care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN licensure (state or compact), BLS certification, and at least 2 years of patient care experience. Preferred: BSN and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• BLS certification through AHA or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
