Job summary

You plan, organize, and coordinate department activities, oversee budgeting and procurement, ensure regulatory compliance, coach staff, and lead the team in emergency response, driving improvements for faster, safer, and more patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Plans, organizes, supervises, and coordinates the activities within the department of General Service.
• Develops and maintains a customer-focused and efficient work unit that may support patient transport and related services.
• Communicates effectively with customers to coordinate and resolve problems; ensures compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily operations of assigned work units including Attendants & Information Desk, Logistics, Parking & Enforcement, Patient Transport & Escort, Telephone Operations, Transportation Program and Historic Properties units.
• Participates in personnel actions, performance appraisals, and timecards; supports department committees and regulatory compliance.
• Directs staffing in relation to workload; acts as change agent for staff and mentors team members; provides orientation and training.
