Job Description

The General Service Technician role is full time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role involves delivering exceptional 5-star service to guests by effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions, while ensuring guest expectations for time and quality are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently in accordance with Monro standards.
• Perform tire services such as wheel removal, balancing, patching, changing, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
• Perform vehicle services including lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance, battery testing, and installations.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
• Assist in inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and guest-ready condition.
• Perform services following safety standards and policies, including wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per company policy, observing traffic and safety laws.
• Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
