Job Description

The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This position aims to deliver exceptional 5-star service to guests by effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions, while ensuring guest expectations for time and quality are met.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently according to Monro standards.
• Tire Services – perform wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation, and TPMS service and repair.
• Vehicle Services – perform lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (e.g., bulb, wiper blade, filter replacements), battery testing, and installations.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
• Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
• Maintain the store's condition and cleanliness to Monro standards, ensuring it is guest-ready.
• Perform services following safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per Monro’s Road Test policy, observing all traffic and safety laws.
• Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety procedures.
• Maintain technical knowledge through completion of Monro University training.
• Operate and maintain all equipment safely, including lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
