Job summary

Cooper Farms in Van Wert, Ohio, is hiring 1st shift General Production team members for the Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant. Shifts are Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm or 7:00am–3:30pm.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with potential increases to $17.75 after 90 days, plus profit-sharing bonuses based on company performance. Position requires 18+ years old, ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds, and ability to work in a cool, damp environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain knowledge of the departmental equipment and operations.
• Ensure that all assigned procedures are carried out efficiently in accordance with production/quality/safety guidelines.
• Work with others to ensure all areas are up to standard and reporting any abnormalities.
• Accurately completing all required paperwork.

Cooper Farms is currently seeking 1st shift General Production team members to join our team in Van Wert.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm

STARTING HOURLY RATE: $17.50 with the potential of increasing to $17.75 after 90 days.

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

All training will be provided. Job functions include:
