Cooper Farms is hiring a 1st shift Maintenance team member at our Van Wert Cooked Meats facility in Van Wert, OH.

The role focuses on keeping production running by troubleshooting and repairing equipment, while performing preventative maintenance and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge for 480VAC 3-phase systems and PLCs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with print reading and pneumatics knowledge.
• Good communication and accurate note taking.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and time logging.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair machines to minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Record parts used, damages, and complete required paperwork.

3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

(Sign-On Bonus to be paid as $1,000 at thirty days, $1,000 at sixty days and $1,000 at six months. Rehires qualify a year after termination.)

Pay & Schedule

• Starting Pay: $23.65 - $27.65/hr
• Monthly and Year-End Profit-Sharing Bonuses (based on company performance)
• Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday
  • 6:00am-2:30pm

What You'll Do

• Assisting in troubleshooting and fixing machines so that production can continue to run
• Performing all assigned preventative maintenance procedures
• Keeping record of all parts used and/or damaged and accurately complete all required paperwork

What We're Looking For

• Electrical skills: 480vac 3 phase, VFD, PLC, Robotics, Print Reading Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
• High Mechanical Aptitude: print reading and interpretation, Mechanical Assembly, Pneumatics and Hydraulics knowledge
• Good communication and note taking skills
• Basic computer skills: data entry, time logging
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work in a cool, damp environment
