Job summary

Compass Corporate in St Joseph, MI seeks a General Manager to oversee the account and budget while meeting client expectations. You will foster strong relationships with staff, guests and the client, and drive professional growth across the team.

The role requires 8–10 years in upscale food service management, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), and solid budgeting, HACCP knowledge, and staff development skills. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years upscale food service management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision and succession planning.
• Proven track record achieving company goals in compliance with policies.
• Excellent leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff meetings, reviews, and training.
• Manages in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards.
• Establishes rapport with staff, client, and guest and other departments.
• Manages financial reporting with P&L, budgets, and cash handling.
• Plans menus in consultation with chefs.
• Monitors health and fire regulations for food preparation and serving.
