Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a General Manager to maintain client accounts in line with the approved budget while meeting client expectations. You will foster strong relationships with employees, guests, and the client, and lead the dining service department within the facility plan.

You will supervise the team, manage financial reporting, budgeting, and menu planning in collaboration with chefs. Strong leadership and HACCP knowledge are essential for success in this role across campus,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 8–10 years upscale food service, including management level experience.
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning.
• Proven track record achieving company goals in compliance with policies.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HACCP and food storage practices.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Participates in employee meetings, reviews and training programs
• Manages budgets and financial reporting including P&L
• Ensures compliance with laws and company policies
• Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards
• Establishes rapport with staff, client and guests
• Plans menus in consultation with chefs
• Manages purchasing and inventory controls
• Monitors HACCP controls and food storage
