Job summary

Sonic Drive-In seeks a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead a drive-in’s operations and team. This exempt role requires strong leadership to drive guest service, staffing, training, and cost-containment across all shifts.

Responsibilities include planning, forecasting, scheduling, and maintaining records, while ensuring compliance with policies and quality standards. The GM will lead local marketing efforts and maintain equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies are a plus.
• Minimum three years of restaurant management experience, QSR preferred.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience hiring, interviewing and managing employees.
• Knowledge of labor laws, health and safety regulations, and basic accounting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, schedule and manage staff.
• Oversee compensation in line with company guidelines and control costs.
• Lead all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction and service quality.
• Manage opening/closing duties and daily operational reports.
• Develop and execute local marketing and business action plans.
• Ensure maintenance, sanitation and compliance with laws and policies.
