Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, is seeking a General Manager to lead a busy optical store. You’ll guide a talented team, drive results, and create an amazing patient and associate experience every day.

The General Manager oversees operations, financial performance, staffing, merchandising, training, and patient care, setting a positive, high-energy tone. You’ll partner with the Doctor to ensure top-tier care and business success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience.
• Knowledge of the optical industry preferred.
• ABO & NCLE Certified.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales.
• Solid understanding of store operations and business performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily store operations, including staffing, inventory management, bookkeeping, planning, and enforcing company policies.
• Lead, train, and develop associates through coaching and feedback.
• Monitor store performance to deliver outstanding customer and patient experiences.
• Partner with the Doctor to ensure high level of patient care.
• Conduct store audits and uphold standards.
• Maintain open communication with District Manager and provide accurate reporting.
• Ensure the store and facility meet corporate and safety standards.
• Execute marketing, merchandising, and promotional initiatives per brand standards.
• Manage budgets, supplies, and inventory to meet financial goals.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top talent and create schedules.
• Provide clear feedback and performance evaluations.
• Ensure policy compliance and accurate associate records.
