Big Red F Restaurant Group in Boulder, CO is seeking an experienced General Manager in Development to join a growing restaurant group, initially as a Co-GM with an established leader. You will be immersed in Big Red F culture, operations, and people, while preparing to lead a future location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in hospitality management or restaurant leadership.

Big Red F Restaurant Group ..... home to Jax Fish House, The Post, Centro and West End Tavern — is looking for an experienced restaurant leader to join our team as a General Manager in Development.

As Big Red F continues to grow, we are committed to building our leadership bench ahead of that growth while creating meaningful succession and professional development opportunities for the people already inside our restaurants.

So,..YES!,...We are looking for someone who has the experience, leadership presence and competencies to be a General Manager today, but who is excited to join a growing restaurant group before their ultimate location is determined.

The GM in Development will initially join one of our existing Front Range restaurants in a Co-GM capacity, working alongside an established GM while becoming immersed in Big Red F, our culture, our people and the way we operate. This is not simply a training role. This person will actively co lead the business while preparing to step into their own restaurant as new growth, internal promotions or other opportunities create the right opening.

We are looking for someone who loves restaurants: great food and beverage, genuine hospitality, busy dining rooms and building strong teams. Someone who can teach and develop people, hold high standards, understand the business and financial side of the restaurant, and still make work fun....The right person brings energy, curiosity, operational discipline and a natural instinct for hospitality. Experience with events, catering and multifaceted operations is a plus.....This is for someone ready to be a GM now, but interested in something bigger than simply taking the next available GM job. What we expect:

• Ability to challenge, develop and lead a crew of restaurant managers who exhibit selfless hospitality, are cool under pressure and are eager to learn in a fun, fast paced environment.
• You’re a party starter and magnetic hospitalitarian! Ensuring that all guests and staff feel welcomed home, dispensing extraordinary hospitality that is lively, warm, attentive and conscientious.
• Wine, beer, spirits and cocktail geeks with the skills to teach and inspire others (Cicerone, Sommelier Certification and/or experience with Agave or Barley, Rye based spirits is a PLUS!)
• Extensive food knowledge - service, preparation, ingredients, regional and international cuisines, food and beverage pairing
• Restaurant communication skills that are exhaustive, and equally compelling verbally or written
• Minimum of 5 years in a hospitality management or restaurant leadership role
• Developing finance skills with an understanding of weekly budgets, P&Ls, costed menus and schedules
• TIPS, ServSafe Manager (we’ll provide training!)
• Handle the physical requirements of a restaurant manager job which includes bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time and carrying and lifting heavy and really hot stuff!
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Integrity, intelligence, honesty and a willingness to learn, dig in, and be world famous
