Job summary

Placemakr in Washington, DC is seeking a General Manager to lead a property team, drive exceptional guest experiences, financial performance and operational excellence. You’ll manage front- and back-of-house activities, schedule with a flexible model, and develop your leaders in a fast-paced, service‑driven environment.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll partner with ownership groups, implement programs, and maintain safety and compliance while building a culture that lives Placemakr’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, hospitality or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in a leadership role within retail, food & beverage, hospitality or similar environment.
• 1+ years’ experience of successful multi-department leadership; retail, food & beverage or hospitality-focused preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility to work evenings, overnight and weekends on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead with curiosity and drive across all building operations, people, service and finances.
• Provide exceptional experiences to guests, residents and partners to drive loyalty.
• Maintain safe, secure, and compliant environment by following established policies and procedures.
• Stay flexible with scheduling to understand the nuances of the business and ensure coverage.
• Motivate, develop and hold the team accountable through real-time leadership.
• Partner with Area and non-property teams to execute processes and push for continuous improvement.
