Job summary

Placemakr in Tempe, AZ is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations, service excellence, and budgetary performance for a property. You will motivate and develop your team, uphold Placemakr standards, and collaborate with non-property leaders to ensure a seamless guest and resident experience.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will drive NOI, manage expenses, and implement SOPs, with a hands-on leadership style and a people-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership role in hospitality or multi‑family environments.
• Experience leading multi‑department teams and budgeting.
• Strong communication and people leadership skills.
• Experience with scheduling, training and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing property team to drive service and financial results.
• Ensure safe, compliant operations and budget reporting.
• Collaborate with property and non-property leaders to align on SOPs.
• Recruit and engage top talent with PX and TA teams.
• Drive revenue through pricing strategies and occupancy targets.
• Oversee Front of House and Back of House operations.
• Model Placemakr Community Norms and culture.
• Provide hands-on support for escalated issues.
• Maintain exceptional guest experiences.
• Partner with Area Leader to optimize NOI.
• Lead training on SOPs and programs.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and budget planning.
