Job summary

Zunzibar is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead a high-volume, upscale casual restaurant. You will build culture, coach managers, drive operational excellence, and create an environment where guests and team members want to return.

Lead all restaurant operations with focus on hospitality, P&L, labor, COGS, and profitability; recruit and mentor a top management team; uphold cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience; partner with senior leadership on company initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of successful restaurant management in upscale casual settings.
• Proven track record of developing managers and building engaged teams.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L, labor, COGS, and inventory controls.
• Hands-on leader with visible approach and commitment to operational excellence.
• Passion for hospitality and memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of restaurant operations with a relentless focus on hospitality, consistency, and execution.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high‑performing management team and hourly staff.
• Foster a culture built on accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and respect.
• Ensure every guest receives an exceptional dining experience that reflects the Zunzibar brand.
• Own the restaurant's P&L performance by driving sales growth while maintaining disciplined control of labor, COGS, and operating expenses.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies that drive profitability.
• Lead by example on the floor, maintaining visibility during peak business periods.
• Develop future leaders through coaching, feedback, and ongoing training.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and operational excellence.
• Partner with senior leadership to execute company initiatives and achieve business objectives.
