Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Goodyear, AZ is hiring a General Manager to lead restaurant operations. You will train and supervise Crew, Carhops, and management, ensuring food safety, service quality, and cost controls while driving guest satisfaction.

The role requires scheduling, staff development, inventory management, and marketing plan implementation to improve performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; business/restaurant management studies preferred.
• At least 2 years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred) with shift supervision.
• Must work a minimum 5-day week with 4 closing shifts (or 4 days with guaranteed hours), including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and local health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, plus basic accounting/computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet operating standards and service quality.
• Ensures compliance with handbook, policies and practices; handles opening/closing duties.
• Prepares staff schedules and adjusts staffing for demand.
• Manages inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains payroll and employment records; reports on financial trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan to drive sales.
• Interacts with guests to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
