Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of direct food/retail management experience.
• Experience with inventory management, cost controls and shrinkage.
• Proven track record of sales growth, profit improvement and staff development.
• Hands-on leadership with a service and hospitality focus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related tools.
• Experience with POS systems.
• ServSafe certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
• Achieve financial targets including NOI and gross margin.
• Oversee inventory management, health and safety compliance, and labor relations.
• Recruit, develop, and lead collaborative teams.
• Manage performance with timely evaluations and accountability.
• Ensure compliant processes for canteen operations including POGs, POS, inventory, and promotions.
• Confirm canteen operations meet NSF standards and audit goals.
• Maintain up-to-date training and compliance across the team.
• Oversee financial statements, budgeting and cost control to improve margins.
• Identify operational improvements to enhance Veteran and caregiver experiences.
• Collaborate with Medical Center leadership and departments.
