A recruitment bonus of $5,000 is offered, and 3–5 years of direct food/retail management experience is required. This position requires strong inventory, cost, and P&L management, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with inventory management, supply cost and shrinkage controls, and P&L management experience.
• Proven track record of building sales, increasing profits, and staff development.
• Ability to assess business needs and problem-solve.
• Hands-on leadership with a strong focus on service and hospitality.
• Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience with POS Systems.
• ServSafe certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food and retail operations at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center canteen.
• Manage inventory, costs, shrinkage, and P&L to improve profitability.
• Develop staff and drive sales growth through exceptional service.
• Lead with hands-on management and focus on hospitality.
• Ensure proficiency in MS Word/Excel and POS system usage.
• Maintain ServSafe certification compliance.
