Job summary

Big Blue Swim School in Warminster, PA is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations at the Warminster site. You will lead staff, manage day-to-day facilities, ensure safety, and drive student progress while delivering outstanding service in a fun, kid-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Business and financial acumen.
• 5+ years in aquatics.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Technology savvy; proficient in MS Excel, Canva, and willing to learn internal applications.
• Pass background check.
• LG and CPO certifications.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and train new staff according to Big Blue Swim School curriculum.
• Create and adjust staff schedule based on business need.
• Manage performance of direct reports and provide coaching for improvements.
• Ensure efficient building operations including cleanliness, water quality, and pump room operations.
• Direct staff in daily monitoring and review of student progress, checkbox completion, and appropriate move-ups.
• Problem solves facility issues and customer concerns in a professional manner.
• Oversee regular and effective parent/customer communication to ensure positive interactions and status updates.
• Ensure teachers adhere to Big Blue Swim School principles and curriculum.
• Conduct performance reviews and recommend incentives.
• Manage compliance with safety procedures and required certifications.
• Monitor and request inventory and supplies as needed.
• Direct front desk activities and customer interactions.
• Plan and communicate event schedule including trainings and employee events.
• Significant previous management experience including leading large teams.
• Ability to provide high level service and create a strong sense of community for customer base.
• Strong critical thinking skills and proactive approach to problem solving.
• Other duties as assigned.

The General Manager position will have continuous training, opportunities for growth, and the ability to manage a dominant brand. The General Manager is the senior site leader responsible for thorough knowledge of all processes and procedures pertaining to facility maintenance and operations, front-desk customer service, lesson quality, staff training and performance. This role ensures every function of the Big Blue facility is operating in a superior, professional, and fun manner. The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player, have great communication skills, and driven to succeed within the company.
