Job summary

HMSHost in Orlando is seeking a General Manager I to lead a QSR restaurant or small cluster, ensuring cleanliness, staffing, and peak operations. You will own shifts, deploy teams, and drive profitability while upholding brand standards.

The role requires 3–7 years of restaurant management with P&L experience and a background in food service. Salary is $54,495–$64,946 with benefits; on-site work at Orlando Airport facilities.

Qualifications

• GMIs must have documented and demonstrated skills managing the types of restaurants (QSR, Casual Dine, Full Service, similar complexity, Union and Non-Union, etc.) with P&L accountability.
• Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for a portion of the time-based experience requirement.
• Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of HMSHost policies and products and the ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to read, understand menus and brand standards, and communicate policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant and ensure opening/closing checklists are followed.
• Deploy staff to maximize profitability and manage scheduling; take P&L responsibility.
• Interview candidates and make hiring/promotion decisions; promote HMSHost as employer of choice.
• Ensure diversity and inclusion; onboard/offboard associates with proper badging.
• Monitor financial and operating data to meet unit goals; recognize staff contributions.
• Lead and coach staff; implement marketing programs and AB initiatives with support teams.
