Job summary

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is seeking a General Manager in Redwood City, CA. The role involves leading shift operations, ensuring quality service, and driving guest satisfaction in a high-energy environment.

The GM will manage financials, inventory, and team performance, with a focus on accountability and day-to-day restaurant success.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma, some post secondary education a plus.
• 1–2 years leadership experience in some capacity.
• 1–2 years experience in the food service business.
• ServeSafe Certification a plus.
• Strong references from previous supervisors or colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Financial and inventory management.
• Crew assignment, training and motivation of the team during your shift.
• Customer relationship management.
• Full accountability for how the shift runs under your watch.
• Typically work both opening and closing shifts each week; Morning shift 8:00am–4:00pm, Afternoon shift 3:00pm–11:00pm.
