General Manager, National Document Scanning Operations
Lead the Future of Document Imaging & Scanning Operations
ARC Document Solutions is looking for an experienced General Manager, National AIM Operations to lead and support large-scale scanning and archiving projects across our national AIM network.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands commercial document scanning, imaging technologies, production workflows, quality control, and large-scale project execution and who can translate that expertise into operational excellence and exceptional customer outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Lead National AIM Operations
- Provide operational oversight for large scanning and archiving projects across AIM Operations Centers, regional locations, and customer sites.
- Establish and maintain best-practice standards across scanning operations.
- Optimize production workflows to maximize quality, efficiency, labor utilization, and resource management.
- Develop and maintain quality-control standards designed to minimize errors and defects.
- Review operational and production data to identify challenges and implement improvements.
- Ensure hardware and software acquisitions align with ARC’s national standards.
Partner with Sales & Customers
- Work closely with the AIM Sales team to plan projects, identify customer needs, develop technical solutions, calculate costs, and establish project timelines.
- Participate in major customer presentations, providing operational expertise and technical insight.
- Serve as a key operational point of contact for large AIM customers.
- Partner with customers on production scheduling, project status, problem-solving, and other operational needs.
- Support sales teams and branch operations with customer-site needs, training, and education.
Drive Process & Quality Improvement
- Establish production and quality-control standards in partnership with AIM and branch leadership.
- Develop and implement processes that improve workflow, eliminate operational issues, and enhance quality.
- Coordinate activities across departments and locations to ensure successful project execution.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience managing a commercial document scanning operation.
- In-depth experience with large- and small-format production document imaging technologies and solutions.
- Strong understanding of document imaging principles, imaging mechanics, file structures, file formats, OCR, ICR, OMR, barcode technologies, and related methodologies.
- Proven experience developing process workflows and quality-control procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Operations, Production, and Branch leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree, four years of related training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CDIA certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Photoshop.
