Cambria Suites in New York City is seeking a Hotel General Manager to lead all daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and deliver strong financial results. You will set strategy, mentor department heads, and model hands-on leadership in a fast-paced urban environment.

You will partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and brand partners to maximize market share, oversee budgets and staffing, and uphold Marriott standards.

Hotel General Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Hotel General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Cambria Suites. Located in one of the most exciting and competitive hotel markets in the world, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to lead a newly built hotel while driving performance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.

What You'll Do

As the Hotel General Manager, you will serve as the primary leader for the hotel, overseeing all aspects of daily operations while creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional hospitality.

You will:

1. Provide overall operational and strategic leadership for both hotels.
2. Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and associates to build high-performing teams.
3. Drive exceptional guest satisfaction and maintain strong Marriott brand standards.
4. Manage financial performance, including revenue, expenses, labor, profitability, forecasting, and budgeting.
5. Partner closely with Sales, Revenue Management, and other commercial teams to maximize market share and profitability.
6. Monitor hotel performance and develop action plans to continuously improve operational and financial results.
7. Ensure outstanding service delivery across Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other hotel operations.
8. Recruit, retain, coach, and develop top hospitality talent.
9. Maintain a strong presence throughout the hotels and lead by example with a hands-on, approachable leadership style.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all applicable regulations.
11. Build strong relationships with ownership, brand partners, guests, and the local business community.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an energetic, polished, and results-oriented hotel leader who thrives in a fast-paced urban environment.

Qualifications include:

1. Previous experience as a Hotel General Manager or an accomplished Assistant General Manager/Director of Operations ready for the next step.
2. Experience leading hotels in a major urban market is highly desirable.
3. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor, and profitability.
4. Demonstrated success improving guest satisfaction and operational performance.
5. Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
6. A hands-on management style with the ability to lead from the front.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make confident decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hospitality leadership experience.

Salary is $135,000-$150,000 commensurate with experience.
