Job summary

The Hartford in Hartford, CT is seeking a General Liability Litigation Team Leader to guide a tenured staff across the Western region. You will lead approximately 7 General Liability Litigation Claim Handlers with inventories, and drive investigations, determinations and settlements in line with policy.

You will train, coach and develop staff, manage performance, and act as a technical resource while aligning with HR policies and customer service excellence in a hybrid/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Prior high exposure general liability claims and litigation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of contracts and contractual indemnification.
• Understanding of coverage and risk transfer.
• College degree preferred.
• CPCU, AIC, SCLA or other designation preferred.
• Professional designation (CPCU/AIC/SCLA) or working toward such designation preferred.

Reporting to the Western General Liability Litigation Director. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:$86,400 - $129,600
