Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Lakeland, FL seeks a claims adjuster to resolve non-attorney represented general liability claims. You will analyze, investigate, and retrieve claim information, communicate liability assessments to customers, and negotiate settlements while identifying subrogation opportunities.

You will secure physical evidence and coordinate with third parties as needed. Minimum Florida All Lines Adjuster license required or obtainable after hire; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service or 1 year of retail experience.
• Ability to obtain Florida All Lines Adjuster License upon hire and reciprocal licenses for states Publix operates in.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact injured customers by phone or written correspondence to provide premier service and quick claim resolution.
• Investigate reported events to capture all necessary information for potential claims.
• Manage shopping cart and property damage claims for timely resolution.
• Secure physical evidence related to customer events to aid in claims handling and possible litigation.
• Comply with Medicare reporting requirements on settled claims.
