Job summary

Jonus Group seeks a dedicated General Liability Claims Adjuster to manage a portfolio of low to moderately complex claims, including some litigated cases. You will analyze policy language, exclusions, and ISO forms to determine coverage and communicate positions clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience adjusting commercial liability claims.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and litigation management.
• Florida and/or Texas Public Adjuster licenses or ability to obtain additional licenses.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve low to moderately complex general liability claims, including litigated cases.
• Analyze policy language to determine coverage and communicate positions clearly.
• Draft professional, error-free letters and communications, including reservation of rights and denial of coverage.
• Evaluate damages, set reserves, and escalate cases with potential exposure.
• Negotiate fair settlements in good faith.
• Manage litigated files with defense counsel to develop strategies.
• Retain experts and vendors to optimize outcomes while controlling costs.
• Maintain thorough documentation in a paperless claims system.
• Communicate with other departments about claim developments and trends.
• Implement strategies to close files efficiently and resolve claims.

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced General Liability Claims Adjuster to join a team. This role involves managing a portfolio of low to moderately complex general liability claims, including some litigated cases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and effective claim handling practices. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to a dynamic and growing organization.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
• Bonus Structure:
  • GL Claims Rep/Sr. GL Claims Rep: 5% bonus
  • CL Technical Claims Specialist/Sr. GL Tech Claims Specialist: 8% bonus
  • GL Litigation & Complex Claims Specialist: 10% bonus
  • Sr. GL Litigation & Complex Claims Specialist: 12% bonus

• Manage litigated claim files, collaborating with defense counsel to develop and execute appropriate strategies.
• Retain experts and vendors to achieve optimal claim outcomes while controlling costs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in a paperless claim system.
• Communicate with other departments regarding claim developments and trends.
• Implement strategies to efficiently close files and manage claims to resolution.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in adjusting commercial liability claims, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility and successful claim outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and litigation management.
• Ability to analyze and interpret construction contracts and apply risk transfer principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in managing workloads to meet quality and quantity production goals.
• College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold proper Public Adjuster licenses in Florida and/or Texas, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as needed.
