Job summary

The Jonus Group is seeking a dedicated General Liability Claims Adjuster for a fully remote role in the United States. You will manage a portfolio of low to moderately complex claims, including some litigated cases, with a strong emphasis on policy language and coverage interpretation.

Candidates should have 5+ years in adjusting commercial liability, knowledge of ISO forms, and valid Public Adjuster licenses. A college degree is preferred, and the package includes benefits, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in adjusting commercial liability claims.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and litigation management.
• Must hold proper Public Adjuster licenses in Florida and/or Texas, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve low to moderately complex general liability claims, including litigated cases.
• Analyze and interpret commercial policy language to determine coverage and communicate coverage positions effectively.
• Draft professional and error-free written communications, including reservation of rights and denial of coverage letters.
• Evaluate damages, set reserves, and escalate cases with potential exposure above authority.
• Negotiate fair and accurate claim settlements in good faith.
• Manage litigated claim files, collaborating with defense counsel to develop and execute appropriate strategies.
• Retain experts and vendors to achieve optimal claim outcomes while controlling costs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in a paperless claim system.
• Communicate with other departments regarding claim developments and trends.
• Implement strategies to efficiently close files and manage claims to resolution.

Seeking a dedicated and experienced General Liability Claims Adjuster to join a team. This role involves managing a portfolio of low to moderately complex general liability claims, including some litigated cases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and effective claim handling practices. Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
• Bonus Structure:
• GL Claims Rep/Sr. GL Claims Rep: 5% bonus
• CL Technical Claims Specialist/Sr. GL Tech Claims Specialist: 8% bonus
• GL Litigation & Complex Claims Specialist: 10% bonus
• Sr. GL Litigation & Complex Claims Specialist: 12% bonus

• Strong knowledge of commercial lines products, policy language, exclusions, ISO forms, and litigation management.
• Ability to analyze and interpret construction contracts and apply risk transfer principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in managing workloads to meet quality and quantity production goals.
• College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold proper Public Adjuster licenses in Florida and/or Texas, with the ability to obtain additional licenses as needed.
