Job summary

Resolution Recruiting is seeking a highly organized, nationwide Retail General Liability Adjuster to join the client’s claims team. The role handles a nationwide GL account, evaluating product damage, slip-and-fall, and other claims while delivering excellent customer service.

You will investigate, determine coverage, conduct site inspections, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with legal counsel and management. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in handling retail GL claims.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles, coverage, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel for site inspections and meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate retail general liability claims promptly and thoroughly
• Communicate with insured parties, claimants, witnesses, and other relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information
• Determine coverage and liability for each claim based on policy terms and applicable laws
• Conduct site inspections and document findings to assess damages and liability
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or their representatives
• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal counsel and claims management, to resolve complex claims efficiently
• Maintain accurate claim records and documentation in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
• Provide regular updates to clients and management on claim status and resolution progress
• Stay informed about industry trends, legal developments, and best practices related to retail general liability claims management
