Thomas, Thomas, and Hafer, LLP seeks an experienced General Liability Attorney for its Fairfax, VA office. The role focuses on managing a full defense caseload from intake to resolution in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and ADR proceedings.

The ideal candidate will handle depositions, develop case strategy with clients and defense teams, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior attorneys.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in good standing in the relevant state(s); multi-state admission is a plus.
• Prior experience in civil litigation defense; general liability experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of general liability defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, and other proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
