Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an experienced General Liability Attorney to join our Fairfax, VA office. The attorney will represent insurance and corporate clients in general liability matters, manage cases independently, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, active license in good standing, and a strong civil litigation defense background, including motion practice and trial experience.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in good standing in the relevant state(s).
• Prior experience in civil litigation defense; general liability experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of general liability defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, and ADR proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and draft litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with clients and defense teams.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status and outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
• Participate in business development and networking efforts.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to a team-oriented culture.
