Job summary

CoVolt Power in Lebanon, KY is seeking a field-based solar construction technician to support the mechanical scope of our solar field. You will contribute to pile installation, module staging, and tracker operations in outdoor environments.

This hands-on role requires lifting, standing for long periods, and following precise instructions while collaborating with a small team under supervision. Prior construction exposure is preferred; safety and weather readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfort working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Experience on construction projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• String Line work as part of field construction.
• Operate lasers and align components with precision.
• Perform pile shakeout and installation tasks.
• Carry out pile remediation and tracker shakeout steps.
• Install slew gear, torque tubes, drive lines, and motors.
• Install Huck fasteners and BOM items; manage MIB.
• Coordinate damper and module staging/installation.
• Conduct tracker QA/QC and module QA/QC checks.
• Utilize SPC controller where required.
