Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a field-based general labor candidate to contribute to the construction of a solar field. This role involves outdoor work, manual installation tasks, and adherence to safety practices in varying weather conditions.

Strong teamwork and ability to follow precise instructions are required; GED or equivalent education is preferred. The position includes opportunities for growth within the General Labor II track and emphasizes safety and quality of work.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions.
• Construction experience is preferred and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Construct solar field components including pile installation and module staging.
• Operate equipment such as string line, laser, and torque tube installation.
• Support QA/QC and ensure safety in outdoor field conditions.
• Follow precise instructions and adapt to feedback from supervisors.
• Collaborate with teammates to complete installation and remediation tasks.

Skills/Abilities

• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
