Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to join our field team at one of our solar project sites in the United States. The ideal candidate will be a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and eager to learn as they contribute to the construction of solar fields.

This hands-on, field-based role requires lifting, operating outdoors in varying weather, and training others on mechanical scopes such as piles and trackers.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent education.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and safety-conscious mindset.
• Construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical scope tasks including piles, tracker, and module work.
• Conduct string line, laser alignment, pile shakeout, and remediation.
• Handle tracker shakeout, MIB, damper, and module staging; perform QA/QC.
• Train others on at least one complete mechanical scope (Piles, Tracker, Mods).
• Document field decisions and reporting (Tier Boards, Production Tracking).

Position Summary:

Our Mechanical Foreman will be located in the field at one of our project sites within the United States. The ideal candidate is a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and hungry to learn. This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field. This position supports the mechanical scope and will be located at one of our project sites.

Activities/Responsibilities/Duties:

Can independently perform the following:

• String Line
• Laser
• Pile Shakeout
• Pile Remediation
• Tracker Shakeout
• Huck & BOM
• MIB
• Damper
• Module Staging
• Tracker QA/QC
• Module QA/QC
• SPC Controller
• Technical Aptitude assistance

*Must be able to train others on at least 1 complete Mechanical Scope (Piles, Tracker, Mods).*

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork
