Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking candidates for a field-based role supporting the construction of a solar field in Brashear, TX. This position focuses on mechanical scope and requires physical endurance and teamwork in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include assisting with line and laser work, pile shakeout, tracker activities, and module staging, with safety as a priority. GED or equivalent is preferred and prior construction exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have GED or equivalent; construction experience preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and perform repetitive motions.
• Work outdoors in varied, often extreme weather conditions; follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with string line setup and alignment.
• Operate or assist with laser alignment tasks.
• Support pile shakeout, pile remediation, and tracker shakeout activities.
• Aid in Huck & BOM, MIB, damper, module staging, and QC processes.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors in field construction.

This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field. This position supports the mechanical scope.

Activities/Responsibilities/Duties:

Assists with the following:

• String Line
• Laser
• Pile Shakeout
• Pile Remediation
• Tracker Shakeout
• Huck & BOM
• MIB
• Damper
• Module Staging
• Tracker QA/QC
• Module QA/QC
• SPC Controller

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+pounds
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards.
