Job summary

KBR is seeking a General Engineer (Contingency) for TACOM (RRAD) to provide engineering analysis, design support, and technical problem‑solving across multi‑discipline construction and sustainment projects. You will help ensure reliability, safety, and mission readiness for Army systems and facilities.

The role emphasizes project leadership, coordination with contractors, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, systems, or related discipline).
• Typically 2–5 years of engineering experience in a technical, military, or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering for development and execution of construction, renovation, and improvement projects.
• Serve as project engineer for all phases of assigned work.
• Coordinate design analysis, cost estimates, and specifications for complex structures.
• Review data and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and technical standards.
• Monitor contract activity and ensure adherence to schedules and designs.
• Prepare documents for construction packages and contractor submittals.
• Lead meetings with contractors and customers to manage scope and changes.
• Certify completion for payments and review O&M manuals and as-built drawings.
