Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a General Engineer (Planner) on a contingency TACOM program to support engineering analyses, design efforts, and problem solving for Army systems.

The role involves multi-disciplinary construction, renovation, and real property projects with emphasis on reliability and safety. The engineer will lead projects through all phases—from design to construction—while coordinating with contractors and mission stakeholders to ensure schedules, budgets, and performance standards are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, or related).
• 2–5 years of engineering experience in technical, military, or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Professional engineering knowledge to coordinate and conduct technical review of designs and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering for the development and execution of new construction, renovation and improvement projects for facilities across multiple disciplines.
• Project engineer for all phases of assigned work.
• Monitors and coordinates design analysis, cost estimates, and specifications for complex structures.
• Reviews data and coordinates with organizations to ensure compliance with policies and technical requirements.
• Prepares documents for construction packages and reviews contractor bids/proposals.
