Job summary

Media Real Estate is seeking a full-time General Carpentry Maintenance Technician with Supervisory Skills in Media, PA. The role combines hands-on maintenance across trades with leadership of junior staff on project-based tasks, ensuring safety, quality, and tenant satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in facilities maintenance, can read blueprints, and will supervise or coordinate contractors as needed, while upholding safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in facilities or property maintenance (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs)
• Proven ability to lead or supervise project-based maintenance work
• Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong tenant/customer service orientation
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret building codes, and troubleshoot complex maintenance issues
• Must supply own vehicle and tools; valid driver’s license required
• Background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC, and painting.
• Lead small teams or projects; provide guidance to junior maintenance techs or contracted workers.
• Conduct property inspections and preventative maintenance to identify hazards or needed repairs.
• Respond to service requests from tenants, ensuring safety, quality, and resident satisfaction.
• Oversee vendors and contractors to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective service delivery.
• Maintain worksite safety and compliance with codes and company standards.
• Manage inventory and tools; assist with procurement and organized storage.
• Document work orders, logs, service records, and inspection reports.
