Job summary

General Motors is seeking an General Assembly Manufacturing Engineering Execution Zone Engineer in Arlington, TX. You will lead the development, launch, and optimization of manufacturing processes, implementing automation, tooling, and equipment solutions supporting new vehicle programs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, tooling, or automation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and solve technical problems.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work non-standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for General Assembly/Final Assembly zones during launches and production.
• Develop, implement, and optimize processes, automation, equipment, and conveyors.
• Manage equipment projects from concept through production launch.
• Serve as primary engineering contact for assigned areas to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Provide technical leadership to suppliers and integrators.
• Support build events, process validation, and PFMEA development.
• Drive continuous improvement focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
