Job summary
General Motors is seeking a Sr Manufacturing/Execution Zone Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, launch, and optimization of manufacturing processes for General Assembly and Final Assembly zones. You will implement automation, tooling, and equipment solutions to support new vehicle programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 10 years manufacturing/engineering experience, 3 years launch experience
- Willingness to travel up to 75% for launches and related activities
- Strong technical knowledge across process engineering disciplines and equipment
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities for General Assembly/Final Assembly zones during new product launches and model changes
- Develop, implement, and optimize processes, automation, tooling, conveyors, and workstation designs
- Manage equipment projects from concept through procurement, installation, validation and production launch
- Serve as primary engineering contact for assigned production areas to meet launch milestones and timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and drive program success
