Job summary
General Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to represent Manufacturing in design to manufacture discussions, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to General Assembly processes throughout vehicle development. You will collaborate with Product Engineering, program teams, and ergonomics stakeholders to drive improvements and manage deviations when needed.
The role involves planning virtual studies, VR reviews, and ergonomic assessments, with a hybrid work policy requiring three days
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering or related field.
- Two years of experience in Maintenance Area Supervisor or related Manufacturing roles.
- Two years of experience with manufacturing engineering, program launch, and assembly plant processes.
- One year of experience with systems manufacturing engineering, including various databases and processes.
Responsibilities
- Represent Manufacturing in interactions with Product Engineering and program teams.
- Analyze designs, ensure manufacturability, and verify compliance with GA processes.
- Communicate requirements, risks, and changes to stakeholders across teams.
- Plan and conduct virtual studies and ergonomic checks in vehicle development.
