Nelnet is seeking an experienced GenAI systems engineer to own the technical build and deployment of AI agents on Google Cloud. You will translate client needs into agentic solutions, implement RAG pipelines, and ensure secure, production-ready integrations.

The role emphasizes platform-level delivery, model selection, and cross-team collaboration within Nelnet’s GenAI delivery team, with a strong focus on education-sector use cases and FERPA considerations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building GenAI solutions in production.
• Direct experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, prompting and grounding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy GenAI applications on the Gemini platform.
• Develop RAG pipelines and platform-grounding strategies.
• Integrate multi-agent patterns and ensure release-quality code.
